A nifty feature included in the Apple TV “Take 2″ software update is the ability to use your Apple TV as an AirTunes speaker. You can now select your Apple TV from the speaker selection drop-down in iTunes to play your music or radio stations through the device.
Just as with the Airport Express, Signal integrates seamlessly with this solution, allowing you to drive the music playing through the Apple TV from anywhere in the house. If you happen to have the TV on at the same time the Apple TV will display album art for the currently playing song too, making for a nice visual compliment to your music.

About This Particular Macintosh has posted a review of Signal.
In the words of Steve Jobs, just like the iPhone itself, “it works like magic.”
I think this is a great way to describe the initial experience with the app. You’re standing somewhere completely away from the computer, tap the screen and boom - music starts pumping through the whole house. Just like magic. Thanks go out to Lee and the ATPM staff for the great feedback!

This is a bug fix release that primarily addresses issues with playing and displaying songs that contain extended characters, but does include a couple of useful improvements.
- The media library back button now remembers the last page it was on when navigating backwards, and can also navigate back into the previous search result.
- When playing videos through iTunes the videos are now played using the default playback preference (set in iTunes under iTunes > Preferences > Playback). So if the default playback preference is full screen or windowed mode, videos or TV shows started through Signal will now use this as well.
The full list of changes is available in the release notes.
